πŸŽƒ Trick-or-Treat Night Tips

πŸ•’ When: No county sets official hours. Most kids go from about dusk until 8 or 9 p.m. Your HOA or apartment community may set its own time, so check its newsletter.

πŸ’‘ Porch light rule: Only visit homes with a porch light on or decorations out. Turn yours off when you run out of candy.

πŸ”¦ Be seen: Add reflective tape or glow sticks, carry a flashlight, and choose face paint over masks that block eyes.

🚢 Walk smart: Stay on sidewalks, cross at corners, and drive slowly through neighborhoods all evening.

🎁 Teal pumpkins: A teal pumpkin means the house has non-food treats for kids with food allergies. Put one out with stickers, glow sticks or pencils to include everyone.

πŸ”Ž Check the haul: Look over treats at home before kids dig in, especially for allergens.

🐢 Pets: Keep them inside and away from chocolate and the busy front door.
